Easter Endeavours: The details

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Good. Frickin. Question. Shove on a pair of bunny ears and you’re a bunny, right? Some cat ears.. voila! A pig nose? F— the pigs nose, just smother my face – scrap that – whole existence in chocolate eggs.

Eating everyone’s leftover eggs since 1994. Not sorry.

I like bold colours. Wait.. that’s a lie. I like bold colours when Instagram is concerned as they photograph well and keep things interesting. In reality, my makeup ranges from nude to neutral. You definitely won’t see me popping to the shops on Easter Sunday looking like a drag queen with a yellow obsession. No, the sad fact is that I did this make-up purely to stick on here. It was done, pictures were taken, and then it was gone.

In years to come I’m definitely going to look back on this and think..
what a twat.

Obviously, this is my first attempt at doing something like this, so I’ve chosen something really simple. I apologise that it’s not the best. I’ve also gotta say, my semi-naked eye makes me cringe a little – ew. You discover how ugly you really are when you take a close-up picture of your face using a ring light and a good camera.

..Hence why I’ve cropped these pictures to shit.

The Crease

Huda Beauty: Musk & Oud (Dessert Dusk Palette)

The Lid

Mac Cosmetics: Pro Longwear Concealer in ‘NC20’ (A base for the eyeshadow)

Barry M: Fine Glitter Dust, Mac Cosmetics: Primary Yellow Pigment

Bobbi Brown: ‘Long Wear’ Gel Eyeliner – Black Ink

..And the rest

Charlotte Tilbury: Bedroom Black (In waterline – Smudged down with crease colours added underneath), Tatti Lashes: TL3

Ebay: Glitter pots – managed to spill the whole pot on my carpet doing this.. (not the first time), Mac cosmetics: Nylon (on brow bone)

I had every intention of drawing some sort of bunny/egg on my face to make it more ‘Eastery’, but I wanted to make sure I posted it on time.

I am a make-up artist, but I have A LOT to learn. As with anything, we are constantly improving. By doing silly things like this it actually helps me learn by experimenting, and doing things I wouldn’t usually.

Thank you for reading the whole post – I really appreciate it! I’ve tried to keep it quite short and sweet. Happy Easter everyone, may your tums be filled with chocolate!
