GlossyBox Review – June 2018 (PLUS GIVEAWAY)

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Contain your excitement folks. The basic blogger bitch is back – bringing you (another?!) banging beauty-box review. June’s GlossyBox is taking us on an imaginary trip to the French Riviera. I’m thinking I would potentially sell my soul to be sat on a yacht in the south of France right now.. Kinda hate GlossyBox for reminding me how unadventurous I am. Kinda love GlossyBox for hitting us up with great themes and giving us a lil’ chic peak à la France.

LITERALLY just pretending I know French now. To be fair, I did take it as a subject for two years at school.. and what phrases do I remember?

Just one.. DAMN those four badass chicks from the Moulin Rouge teaching me outrageous questions at the age of 8!

Excitingly, GlossyBox have partnered up with leading haircare brand Remington this month. They have hidden golden tickets inside five lucky boxes! Those with golden tickets will win 1 of 5 ProLuxe hair tools, woowoww!

Unsurprisingly, I wasn’t a winner. Boo

Laritzy Cosmetics – Shade Stix

Full-size // £18.00

‘Laritzy’ is a French-Canadian brand.. I see how you’ve tied that one in there GlossyBox, cute. I’ve actually been wanting a cream contour for AGES now. How do they always know what I want?! (Um. Maybe its because I’m a brat and want EVERYTHING) I feel like I will get on with this much more than a powder bronzer because it blends so easily. This bronzer/cream contour will give you a perfect sun-kissed glow.

Monu Skin – Eye Cool Gel

Full-size (15ml) // £24.95

To soothe and cool tired eyes: use this in the morning by patting a small amount around your eye area. I do suffer with dark circles under my eyes so I’ll be interested in seeing how well this works.

Nip + Fab – Glycolic Scrub Fix

Sample Size (50ml) // £9.95 (For 75ml)

The scrub contains 3% glycolic acid, salicylic acids and fine-grains with a grapefruit scent. I have to be careful what face scrubs I use as I am prone to breaking out in spots but I will definitely give this a go!

Novex – Mystic Black Deep Hair Mask

Sample Size (100ml) // £11.95 (For 1kg)

I love that when GlossyBox include hair products in their boxes they are free from parabens, sulphates and silicones. As a hair snob, I wouldn’t touch anything with any nasties in it. As a frizz bomb, I love hair masks and probably use one every time I was my hair (otherwise it is literally crazy!) so I’m happy to receive this.

Gatineau – Firming Throat Gel

50ml // £49

So when I google this product it comes up as £49?! Sheezus. Love life. The throat firming gel contains wheat proteins that lift and firm sagging skin whilst vitamins and anti-oxidants nourish and protect. I mean.. at the age of 24 my throat isn’t necessarily saggy but its always good to start young to try and help prevent these things.

Overall, I’m happy with June’s GlossyBox as it has given us a good variety of products (hair, skin and makeup!) All fantastic for taking on holiday with you. I love the fact they have added golden tickets – a great surprise for those lucky winners. The total value of the products in this box waaaay exceed the £13.25 subscription price.
