It’s 24 degrees (Yes – in ENGLAND!). Shades on, sun’s shining, music’s playing. You’ve got a Cornetto in one hand, Dinky Donuts in the other and a SPECIAL EDITION GlossyBox on your lap.
(Minus the bees, wasps, fruit flies, massive flies that scare the shit out of you ‘cus you think it’s a bee, fucking midges, ants, small spiders that actually JUMP and basically anything that crawls, flies or exists. Not a fan.)
So, to quote my exact words from April’s review (If you didn’t read Aprils review.. then I have no words for you.. Just a look of disappointment..) – “Keep an eye out for next month’s box – something really special is on its way!” and did GlossyBox deliver?! I’ll answer that – YES! What an absolutely stunning special edition box.
The colour scheme is just beautiful – pastel pinks, blues and purple hues that represent the peaceful and serene theme of this special edition box. Self-care is such an important thing that we sometimes forget about, we all need to pamper ourselves, we need to remember to look after number 1. GlossyBox have also made sure that every single product in here is cruelty free!
Gel Spa – Luxury Jelly Foot Soak
40g (1 use) // £4.99
To buy individually: www.gelicity.com
Who knew a foot soak could be so exciting?! It is a specially designed powder which turns water to gel – and then gel back to liquid afterwards.. are you as baffled as I am? Literally can’t wait to try this one out! This particular one has a soothing and calming effect with a lavender and lemongrass scent. A perfect experience to moisturise tired feet.
(Just so you are aware: I like to link where to buy products just in case people wanted to purchase them. However there’s quite a few this month that seem to be out of stock when I’ve looked on the websites, with this being one of them)
Maria Nila – True Soft Shampoo
100ml // £3.98
To buy individually: www.sallybeauty.co.uk
Maria Nila – True Soft Conditioner
100ml // £4.99
To buy individually: www.sallybeauty.co.uk
As a self-confessed shampoo snob I’m not sure how I feel about these. I use all Paul Mitchell products and have done for years.. However I’m really impressed with the fact that these are sulphate and paraben free. The shampoo and conditioner looks like decent stuff – and I’m so happy to know that GlossyBox subscribers will be using this instead of head and shoulders – PRAISE THE LORD.
Kueshi – Double Effect Facial Make-up Remover
100ml // £10.50
To buy individually: www.kueshi.com
Kueshi Double Effect is a calming cleansing solution for eyes and sensitive areas that removes make-up gently. I feel like I’m always buying cleaners so I’m definitely grateful to have received this. I always wear waterproof mascara so this is perfect for me, it works brilliantly! The liquid inside separates (which actually looks really cool) so remember to shake well before using it.
Trifle Cosmetics – Praline Palette
To buy individually: www.triflecosmetics.com
For me, this was the most exciting item in this box – god knows why because I have about 50 eyeshadow palettes now. I LOVE Trifle Cosmetics branding.. It’s just so cutsey! This little palette contains six metallic eyeshadows that are formulated to be creamy yet vivid. Other that the cute packaging I’ve got excited about.. They are not my favourite colours, but I’m sure they will come in useful.
aaaaand for an extra treat..
We Are Tea – Earl Grey
Yay. Can’t wait to have a ‘cupppa this!
May’s box has given us 4 out of 5 full sized products and has also included an extra treat from ‘We are Tea’! The total worth of the collection? .. £65! How fantastic for a £13.25 subscription price. I’ve loved this box, the whole theme and the brilliant products in it.
